Scanner suggestions?

Hi Y'all!
Thanks so much for all your sweet comments on the ACEO's I made today. I can't believe how much time I invested in trying to get a good photo of them. My scanner doesn't want to scan them right. Can you suggest a good scanner for me? I'd love to do more drawings, in both pencil and pen & ink, but my scanner can't seem to process the image right. I used my camera to take pictures of the art cards, but it is hard to get the detail in the pictures. They are quite sweet in real life. I've put them up for auction on ebay as quick little 3 day auctions.
If you know of a good scanner that will work with a MAC computer let me in on it :)
HUGS from the Easter Bunny!

katonah72Epson has very good scanners, they are affordable and not too big. Hope to see the cards soon!

I swear by and only use Epson products. I also did some post graduate studies at Pratt here in NYC, and pretty much all they used were Epson.

I have no experience with them myself, but friends of mine are graphic designers and they prefer Epson scanners and printers.

Love the cards by the way. You always use such great lively colors!

Love, Mirjam

Bonjour Tascha! Sometimes I think it has to do more with the way you scan than the scanner itself. You are on Mac so you must be working with Photoshop, right? What I do to scan pencil drawings, which are much tedious to scan than paintings, is scan it in very high res, say 1200 dpi. You get a very large image with very tight details. You then resize it to the required size (say 75 dpi)but click off the "resample image", so you get a smaller image but keep the same very refined details. Once this is done, you go to "image" then "image adjust" and play with your "contrast-highlight" option. This is MY way of doing ... Your little ACEO's are wonderful! We must get into derivative products, in tough economic times like we are living now, so that each and everyone can enjoy our art! HAPPY EASTER! LuLu

I have an Epson Stylus Photo RX500 but I am still learning to use it. I really can't say one way or the other. What I can say is that I love your cards and also have a Happy Easter.

I just recently ordered a CanoScan 5600F. I originally wanted a CanoScan 8800, but was told by Canon customer service that they were essentially the same scanner (with one minor difference that I didn't need that cost an x-tra $50). I LOVE your ACEOs!
